The Taytay Book Tag

Hey Folks! I have yet another Tag for you guys today! It's the Taylor Swift Book Tag! I saw this tag all over the internet a while back and have been meaning to do it, but I eventually forgot. Then, Blank Space reminded me and now, I'm gonna do it!

I know I still gotta review the Feed by Mira Grant. I'm still reading it. With the cold and the humongous length of the book, let's just say my laziness is stretching high *wincing*. I swear, I'll finish it soon.... Hopefully *sigh*

But, now, it's time for The Taytay Tag.
I got this tag from Books and Cleverness. You can check hers out here.
 1. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
(pick a book or series that you were pretty sure you were in love with, but then wanted to break up with)

The Existence Trilogy by Abbi Glines. I liked the first, loved the second and hated the third one so much I literally forgot reading it. It had such a promising premise and likeable characters at the start, but it did the same thing that most of YA books do that make me hate them. Yup! You guessed it! Turning the story into the Twilight copy cat teen drama love fest *gagging*. I hate this series so much I removed it from my bookshelf and my memory.
2. Red
(pick a book with a RED cover)
Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier. Yeah, this baby! Look at this gorgeous cover! This trilogy has the most beautiful covers! I would marry these covers! And it even has the word red in it's title! That deserves an extra point :D

 3. The Best Day
(pick a book that makes you feel nostalgic)

The Seven Dials Mystery by Agatha Christie. I know, I know. Most of you expected me to say Harry Potter. But, the thing is I watched all the movies first and then read the books (What?! I was really young at that time and also, I used to detest Novels *grinning*). But, this book..This was my first novel. I remember I couldn't put it down after my best friend made me read a few pages in 9th grade. I developed a passion for reading from this book. This book will always have a special place in my heart and a center place on my bookshelf. Good times :)

5. I Knew You Were Trouble
(pick a bad character you couldn’t help but love)

Petyr Baelish from The Game of Thrones series. Both, in the books and the show I can't help but LOVE Littlefinger. He's such a cunning and dangerous man. He's been playing his own game from the start, all the while acting like an obedient hamster. He's such a sarcastic, charming and intelligent guy you can't help but root for, even though you know he's EVIL. It's also worthy to mention that in the show I find him very handsome.

6. Innocent
(pick a book that someone ruined the ending for)

The first three books of Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead.
http://www.reactiongifs.com/r/whid.gifI know what you're thinking.."Three Books from the same series?!". Yeah...Well...I acidentally read the Blood Promise (VA #4) first. Okay, I know you're shaking your head right now. But, in my defense I did not know it was series. Hell! I didn't even know a Genre called YA existed then! This was my first YA book. Afterwards I felt like an idiot. But, I did enjoy the series regardless though I've been mocked by my friends for my stupidity. God, this is embarrassing!

7. Everything Has Changed
(pick a character from a book who goes through extensive character development)

http://www.reactiongifs.com/r/jcwd.gifSydney Sage from The Bloodlines series. She has had so much character development from when we first met her in the Vampire Academy. I used to hate her when I first started reading the series. She was so annoying with all her Alchemist-ness. But, as the story progressed she went from this helpless kitten to this awesome badass rebel! You go, girl!
8. You Belong With Me
(pick your most anticipated book release)

The End of Days by Susan Ee! The third book in the amazing Penryn and the End of Days Trilogy. I Love this series so much it transcends words! It is plainly AWESOME! If you don't know about it or haven't read the first two books yet...GO AND READ IT NOW! I swear to God, you'll love it! I have been waiting with bated breath for this book to be released! Soon pooky bear, very soon.

9. Forever and Always
(pick your favorite book couple)

Raffe and Penryn from the Penryn and the End of Days series! I LOVE these two together. Though they're not a couple in the "traditional" sense for now, they're just so adorable together! I LOVE their bantering! I want them to end up together so badly!

10. Teardrops On My Guitar
(pick a book that made you cry a lot)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. How can anyone not cry while reading this book?! Dobby....! So many tears, so many emotions... Happy tears, angry tears, frustrated tears, sad tears..I didn't even know you could cry for such variety of emotions until I read this book! It's over guys! I think I can never totally get over that. No Harry Potter fan can... Be it a books or movies fan. I'm so proud I got to ride the Hogwarts Express. I think I'm gonna go reread it..again!

11. Shake It Off
(pick a book that you love so much, you just shake off the haters)

Though I'm usually very open minded and I respect other people's opinions, I go into intense defense mode whenever someone disses this book or says the movie is better (No! It's not! Even though I like the movie). I just LOVE the World War Z by Max Brooks. It's one of my most favorite book of all time. Haters, C'mon, admit it..You can never find such a realistic take on Zombie Apocalypse than this one! It's such an enjoyable and intellectual read!

(My addition)
12. Blank Space
(Most over hyped book or series that didn't work out for you. At All!)
Wait for it..You think I'll say The Maze Runner right? Yeah, I thought so too..But, I totally forgot about another book series that I hate even more than the Maze Runner.
Lorien Legacies by Pittacus Lore. This! This piece of...! I hate this series so bad. It's so stupid. I painfully read through the first one and when I had just a few more pages to finish the second one, I couldn't take it anymore. I literally went to chuck my beautiful Tablet...My baby! All because of this idiotic bloated series that's a synonym for stupidity! I hated the writing so bad, I wanted to stab people's eyes out!  Now, I feel a little bad for keeping the Maze Runner at the top of my hate shelf. Just a little. Nothing makes me as mad as when a story has so much potential and the author just ruins it.

13. Invisible
(Most under hyped series or book that you think deserves spotlight)
The Circle (The Engelsfors Trilogy #1) by Mats Strandberg and Sara B. Elfgren. I LOVED this book! I think it's one of the best Young Adult series out there. If you wanna know more about this book, you can check out my review here.

14. The Story of Us
(A couple you think should end up together)
Puck and Meghan from The Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa. I usually refrain from picking teams in a love triangle, but I LOVE Puck! He's such a great character! He's charming, funny, snarky and just adorable!! How can he not be awesome! He is very loyal to her! So all you Team Ash people out there..I don't hate him..It's just that Puck is a much more interesting character! Team Puck forever!

15. Love Story
(Pick a forbidden love in a book or series)
The most forbidden one I can think of is Madrigal and Akiva's love in the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series by Laini Taylor. A chimaera and an angel. They're like the fantasy version of Romeo and Juliet.

  1. I hope he dies in the next book..Littlefinger :/

    Neal Kind
    Daily Diaries

    1. I would be awesome only if Sansa did it herself and I'm almost sure that that's how it's gonna go down :D
God, I can't wait for the next season and the next book!

  2. Awesome! :)

You read Blood Promise before the first 3? *stifles laughter* I am so thankful for Goodreads, cuz now I can always go and check! :D

I want to read the Penryn and the End of Days series so badly! I think it's turning into a five book series instead of a trilogy... I'm not prepared to wait that long for next books, so I'll marathon them a couple of years later!

I've only read up to Blood Promise (#4) and I'm not VA's biggest fan, I'm hating it one sec and then loving it the next... *sigh* I can't read the next book cuz the COVER!! UGH!

~Fari @ My Little Corner For Books

    1. Yeah, I know...I wish I could erase that mistake! Now, I have learned my lesson. Though I still forget from time to time.. I really need Neville's Remembrall! *shakes head*
OMG!!!! FIVE BOOKS?!!!!! That's awesome!!!!!!!!! The Best News for me yet!!!!!! Yeah you're right. But, I don't have your control to hold off reading a good series that long! You have iron will girl! :D
I know right! I feel like puking whenever I see those covers..they're so cheesy and the new ones are worse...At least, before, if I wanted to take The Last Sacrifice, I'll be like "it's the one with Just Rose looking straight ahead" Now it's like "Violet, no blue, no yellow...AHH!"
Same with The Lux series! Why can't good series ever have good covers *groaning*

  3. Thanks for tagging me! I'm not that big of a fan of Taylor Swift but this tag looks pretty fun! Do you mind if I borrow a couple of your responses for numbers 5, 10, and 15, by the way? Great post! :)

    1. Thanks Cari! I'm glad you liked it :)
That sounds wonderful! I would love to see your answers!!
I can't remember how many times I've reread that book. Some people might say it's boring, but I personally found it intellectually stimulating and that's saying a lot for a book about Zombie Apocalypse :D
I hope you'll read it and find it to your taste ^_^

  5. I can't believe you tagged me :D I finally had time to finish the post and publish it! Here is the post in all of its glory: http://www.thebooksbuzz.com/2014/12/taylor-swift-book-tag_11.html
